Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actress, activist for animals and writer who was awarded numerous Awards. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most well-known films. Growing up in a family of artists located in New York she wished to work in the field of art. She began working as a photographer's assistant, and then turned to modeling and acting. She received an award called the Golden Globe Award, for most promising newcomer. MacGraw became a global superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. After only three movies MacGraw was named one of the most successful women at the box office in history. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were made in 1972 by Grauman's Chinese Theater. Other credits are The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and others. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, came out. MacGraw is divorced three times.
